W.F. Bracy obituary: PIONEER LOCAL BUSINESSMAN DIES SUDDENLY ________ W.F Bracy, Aged 64, Succumbs During Sleep at Home _________ William Frederick Bracy, aged 64, 1812 Spring street, prominent business man and for 20 years president of the Bracy Bros. Hardware Company died in his sleep early this morning at his home. His death was discovered by members of his family about 7.a.m. Mr. Bracy had not complained of feeling ill, and apparently was in good health when he retired last night. Mr. Bracy was a native of Camden, the son of William Frederick and Ann Brown Bracy. He came to Little Rock when a young man and entered the employ of Fones Bros. Hardware Company, where he remained for several years. He later was one of the organizers and proprietors of Bracy and Sanders Hardware Company. After selling his interest in this firm, he organized and headed Bracy Bros., until his retirement more than a year ago. He was president of the company for approximately 20 years. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Frankie Newton Bracy; a daughter, Mrs. Norman A. Beller; three brothers, Sam V., Eugene Bracy and Junius Bracy, all of Little Rock, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Benson of Camden, Mrs. Clara Cross of Camden, Mrs. J.H. Hudson of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. India Buchanan of Hot Springs. He was a member of the Rotary Club and the Lakeside Country Club. Funeral arrangements will be announced latter by P.H. Reubel & ?????
