Notes
He was Judge James Gibson, the first Probate Judge of Warren Co., MS. He was wounded in a duel with sword canes in the dining room of the new Washington Hotel in Vicksburg in December of 1828. He died several days later, 5 Dec 1828. His opponent was his brother-in-law Anthony Durden, son on John Durden and Charlotte Vick and nephew of Newitt Vick.
He was at the Battle of New Orleans
