BAPM PLAC St.James Northam Parish, Goochland, Virg BAPM SOUR International Genealogical Index 1993 Edition, and The Douglas Register, Goochland County, St. James Northam Parish.
In the book, Facets of Goochland (Virginia) County's History, by Helene Barret Agee, 1963, a Philip Webber 2nd Lt., is listed as one who served in the Revolutionary War. Other references quoted are Historical Register of Virginians in the Revolution, by John H. Gwathmey (1938), and Twelve Virginia Counties, by John H. Gwathmey. Book 975.5 M114v in the Ralph Ellison library of OKC lists a: Philip Webber F.L., S. May 17, 1779 in Virginia Militia from Goochland. Which Philip Webber is this? No This is #1460?, #1458? #1786?
This could be Philip Webber, #1460, who married Mary Edwards, who received a pension for Philip's service during the Revolutionary War. - must be verified. In the "Virginia Military Land Warrants: VA.Mil Dist of Ohio, Granted for Rev. War Service State Continental Line, Beginning Aug.8, 1782: Continental Line Warrants, Mil.Dist of Ohio." Most likely this is #1786, who definitely was an officer in the Revolutionary War (son of William Webber and Annie Winn).
There is a mortgage record in the Rutherford County, Tennessee book U page 190 of a mortgage from Philip & John Webber to John Wright. This could be Philip Webber #1458 and his brother, John Webber, #1465.
