Notes

Pollard rode Race Horses for his father. Pollard won a plantation in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana in a poker game on a Mississippi River boat. Pollard purchased land in Cladwell Parish in 1851 and 1852, and went into a partnership with the husband of his wife's sister, Green B. Brady in Jackson, LA. Pollard is said to be buried in a field where he died of fever. The actual grave of Pollard is not known.

Family legend that his father was a Nicholas Harrison, who is a lineal descendant of Andrew.
