Graduated from AL A & M College in Auburn, AL in 1899. Graduated from the Univ. of MD Medial School in 1892.
Historic Tales of Talladega, by E. Grace Jemison states that he practiced medicine in Talladega after graduating from the Univ. of MD Medical College in 1892. In 1901 he moved to Birmingham, where his son Dr. Tinsley Harrison was prominently associated with the Univ. of AL Medical School. The Harrison surname file in the ALA Archives has a clipping from Birmingham Daily News, 21 Oct 1945, which says that Mr and Mrs. Arden Tinsley Harrison hosted a Harrison reunion Saturday at their country home, Cheaha Farms; in attendance were Dr. and Mrs. Groce Harrison and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Harrison of Birmingham.
