Margaret and Lydia HOOD ran the Hood Hotel in Independence, TX. They adopted Lucy Ann Simmons after her mother, Nancy Harrison, died. More than likely Nancy was related to the Hood sisters who were daughters of Tunis Hood and Eleanor HARRISON. Lucy Vickers named her daughter Lydia; Lydia Davis named one daughter Margaret and another Lydia Lucile.
