Notes

In many, many different sources, Catherine Barton Harrison is identified as being the sister of Samuel Johnson. Samuel was married to Robert P. Harrison's sister, Hannah D. Harrison. However, Catherine's obituary identifies her parents as H. C. and Rebecca Barton. It is believed that Rebecca was probably Samuel Johnson's mother and therefore Catherine was either Samuel's "half-sister" or possibly his "step-sister". ^[S1332]
