Joseph enlisted at "Surry Court House" NC, abt Mar 1 1781, in Col. John Armstrong's NC Reg. He was detached by said colonel to assist Quartermaster George Elliott and was discharged Mar 6 1782.
He was allowed pension on his app. executed May 9, 1836, while a resident of Surry Co. NC, where he stated he had lived for 40 yrs.
Children listed: In 1836 the soldier, Joseph Harrison, referred to a dau, aged 33, who lived with him and had a child 3 yrs old, but no names were given. Bible birth record attached. [S511]
