Thomas, his wife and children lived in the northern part of New Jersey, in what is now known as West Milford, Passaic County. He had inherited land from his father, William, Jr. and purchased adjoining farm land on which they raised several children. It was probably Thomas who broke from the Quaker Church, as records show they were members of the Presbyterian Church in West Milford.

It has been necessary to research land records to piece together the life of this Harrison Family. Vital statistics have not been located for Thomas and Elizabeth. Thomas inherited land from his father, William, Jr. and purchased adjoining land (80 acres) from Charles O'Brien on April 27, 1804. (Bk C, pg 256). Price $262.50. On October 22, 1805, Thomas added another 52 acres. Price $306.00

Thomas must have died between 1811 and 1814 because in 1814, his widow sold the farm to William Wallace to settle the estate. Ten years later, on June 7, 1824, Joel Harrison, son of Thomas and Elizabeth purchased what was known as the "Harrison Family Farm". The seller of the land was Charles T. Wallace, son of William Wallace, the man to whom the farm had been sold in 1814. ^[S583]
