Source of Data on Terrence Clark, husband of Wife Cowden: The Clark Family, part VI by Mrs. B. H. Thibodeaux of Opelousas, St Landry Catholic Church. Opelousas Church Records states that he was 58 at time of death.
He must have imigrated from Ireland to Maryland about 1750 because this is where he married his wife and where son John was born. He is probably the bro of FRANCOIS (FRANCES) CLARK. They are both from Ireland and both married wives from Maryland. Also in the will of Wm Clark (widow Jenny McClelland Cark Dunks) dated 1819, John Little Clark is named as the cousin to his children. John's father is Francois and the grandfather of William is Terance. John Clark, Cutlip is also named as a cousin to William's children. We are not sure if this is a direct relationship to them or through his wife who is the daughter of Terance. If it is through John Cutlip, then, his father, John Clark, Sr must also be a brother to above. We have not yet tied in Roger Clark of Ireland who marr Rebecca Ivy 8 May 1791.
Roger's parents are Nicholas and Catherine Quintik Clark. Camille Sanders of Texas also thinks that Francois and Terrance are brothers and that they had a sister named Sarah.
It appears that DANIEL CLARK, SR of Natchez and his nephew DANIEL CLARK, JR of New Orleans are also related.
