Notes

Possible son of James and Elizabeth. This John C. Harrison never appears on the census records as far as we can tell. He died intestate in 1847 age unknown and James Harrison was next of kin. Court Records in Orphans Court of Limestone Co., AL indicate there are children - but names are unknown. If he had properties, we cannot tell which are his and which are those of John Cravens Harrison at this time, but he did not have property when he died. An inventory of his property at James Harrison's home was appraised by Wm R. Pettus, Nathel Davis, and David Craig which consisted of one negro woman Caroline, 1 girl Silvey, 1 Mulatta child Louisa, 1 Sorrel Horse, 1 silver watch total value $1330 (2 Oct 1847). On 16 Apr 1853, James Harrison, administrator, filed final settlement with 50 days notice was completed. (pub in Athens Newspaper for 3 consecutive weeks).
