the Monday, January 14, 1918 Santa Fe New Mexican: "...Born in Virginia she was a member of the well known Harrison family on her father's side and of Chief Justice Marshall's family on her mothers. She spent her early youth in Virginia and then moved to Washington which city she left to come out to New Mexico in 1885...."
Ralph Emerson Twitchell's The Leading Facts of New Mexican History. Vol. IV. Cedar Rapids, Iowa: Torch Press, 1917. It states: "On the 5th of December, 1885, in Washington, D.C., Mr. Clancy was united in marriage to Miss Susie Harrison, a daughter of Benjamin Harrison, of the W. H. Harrison family, and they have become the parents of five children: Frank W.; Albert H., Millett S.;
Ardela [sic - Ardella, my mother's mother]] L., the wife of Alfred H. Beers, and Vincent."
