His brother, Richard Harrison, signed an affidavit stating he served with his brother in the Revolution. Richard Harrison lived in Allen Co., Kentucky, at the time.

Obit: Thomas Harrison in Huntsville Democrat, 18 Jan 1840, says he died 4 Nov 1839 at his residence in Coffee Co. TN, upwards of 80 years. he was born in England, and fought for TN. He and his brother Richard Harrison came to TN after serving in the NC Militia under Gen. Davidson. The obituary asks that Democratic papers in St. Louis and Talladega, AL pick up the obituary (Harrison Surname File, AL Archives).
PENSION CASE
of North Carolina Service W 2934
and Rachel Harrison He applied in Allen Co Ky 10 June 1833
a resident of said county age 69, states first tour of duty he substituted for Isaac Robertson, a milita [sic] soldier in Lincoln Co SC and went to guard the old nation ford on the Cataba and etc and after 3 mo was discharged 1781 and was in my 16th year 17th-also substituted for Isaac Robertson the next fall. Also served for him as an indian spy in the mounted cavalry -- served 6 mo altogether.
I was born in 1764 in the State of MARYLAND, spelled Mereland, brought by Robertson to North Carolina, Lincoln County and raised by said Robertson. I married in said Lincoln Co and moved to Ky in now Allen County but further pray to be placed on the pension office at Nashville, Tenn, being the nearest place, where a pension office is located desired his pension certificate forwarded to ROBERTSON CO. TENN (Filed Spring)(William Seal).
States, "I was raised an orphan without education"

age 75 stating she is the widow of Richard Harrison, and that she was married to him 14 February 1786 and that he died May 6, 1838 There was a justice of peace named A. Harrison signed as witness to signature - -
affidavit of Wm Travelsted in Allen Co Ky, who states he knew them both in Lincoln Co. N. C. and that they were married sometime in 1786, he has known them ever since except about 10 or 12 years having left N C and emigrated to this county about that length of time before said Harrison and wife followed him and moved to this county where they have lived as neighbors ever since. until he died - widow, Rachel was still residing in Allen Co Ky 2nd Jan 1845 age 80. witness to her signature Aquilla Harrison and A Harrison a J P

Affidavit by Thomas Harrison who states in 9-19-1832 states Richardson Harrison, served a three months tour as a soldier in the Revolution and that he has good reasons to believe he served two more tours.
----affidavit of Michael Cline a resident of Allen Co Ky, states that when he was about 14 his father Martin Cline moved first from Penna to N C and settled in the neighborhood of Richard and Rachel in Lincoln Co in 1792 or 93 and remembers Richard and Rachel living together as man and wife and had 2 or 3 children
