  7.   John S. SALTER
  8. + David Henry SALTER
  9.   Edna SALTER
  10. + Roxanne M. SALTER

Notes

My great aunt Emma Winstead Nolan told me: "Mr. Billy Salter was buried at Concord Church Cemetery (the Baptist area). He was a huge man. For a long time someone had a vest or some such garment that belonged to him. It was big enough to wrap around two people."

Neshoba County Census, 1850: W. W. Salter, 46, GA Edna Salter 44, NC Samuel A. 23, AL Nancy 16, AL Josephine 14 AL John 12, Al David 8 Al Edna 6MS Roxanne 4 MS Joseph Henry 19 Ireland (he was relation of some kind to John Clunan)

Miss Clara Stricklin of Yazoo City maintained that W. W. Salter was buried at Fletcher's Chapel Cemetery in Yazoo County. Aunt Emma was at least one generation older than Clara and she actually knew W. W. Salter. We are inclined to believe that Concord was the correct place.
