There is a cemetery located by James I. Clary on N. side of S.R. 669, Brunswick County, Va., .3 mile e. of S. R. 669 corner, back of James I. Clary's dog pen and famr, on landof Wiley Long, Jr., about 100 yards in dense woods, brush, vines, briars, .6 mile from paved highway. Cemetery has a 3-4 foot tall iron fence, 50 ft. x 60 ft.:
1) 10-12 ft. tall large white marbelshaft on 30 n by 30 in base with much writing on sides of shaft, on base - MATTHEW MYRICK HARRISON M.D., born Nottoway Co., Va 10-31-1819, d. Brunswick Co., Va., 6-16-1858;
8)GEORGE COKE DROMGOOLE, b. 2-21-1853, d. 7-7-1905;
9)ASHLEY HARRISON, son of C.D. & MARY C. EPES, b. 10-10-1879, d. 4-21-1880
there are more graves, so badly overgrown that cemetery count and description impossible at present time. J. R. Orgain, Jr. (who died recently in Brunswick Co.,) says that this is the most impressive collectino of large marble monuments viewed in any Brunswick Co., cemetery. Cemetery is 1.3 miles, west of P.R.46 on N. side off S.R. 669.
Is anyone familiar with the Harrison names? I am particularly interested in the genealogy of DR. MATTHEW MYRICK HARRISON
