Notes

Capt. James Bonner's Co., Col. Miles' Regt., Va. Militia, Feb 13, 1813, discharged Aug 13, 1813; Capt. Co Rifleman, Col., William Allen's Regt, VA Militia 31 Aug. 1814, discharged Portsmouth, Va. Sept. 13, 1814, War of 1812. Justice, Pr. Geo. Co. Court 1811-1814. His elder brother Robert Harrison having built his home on the Bicars tract, near that of their grandfather, "Huntington" passed to William Hardyman Harrison. In 1814 a survey was made of "Huntington", 300 acres, for William Harrison by T. B . Bryant, county surveyor and a relative. The N.W. boundary shows a path to the adjoining plantation of the Binfords, over which Susanna Harrison probably passed to meet "that infamous fellow Jesse Binford", causing her father to disinherit her (see will of Robert Harrison). The plat shows "Pinkards" the plantation of Col. William Harrison abutting "Huntington" on the east, which after his death William Hardyman Harrison acquired from Colonel Harrison's son, a comrade in the War of 1812. No kinship has been established between Col. William Harrison and William Hardyman Harrison.
