MARY BELL-b.12/1889-d 1969? Daughter of Frank Bell & Etta Long,
3rd generation
sister of Frank Gracy, Shellie (Pat), Charles Ray, and Gedie, was born inTexas, had 5 months of school completed by December 27, 1900, -married Mr. Elbert Allen and lived at 9th St in Dallas around1920. Notes in Hulda's handwriting indicate that Mary Bell had a theater, and Mr. Allen owned the Alto Herald newspaper, sometime in the 1920's. Mary Bell moved to California and began selling neckties door to door during the depression, before starting a very successful real-estate business that was located in Culver City, # 10317 Washington blvd. at Goldwyn Terrace called "A&C Realty" (for Allen & Crowell). A Mr. Cooper eventually replaced Mr. Crowell in the firm. In 1935 May Bell convinced father Frank Bell to join her in California.
