John Herbert Peterson, (Circa. 1777-1829), son of Thomas Peterson, married April 9, 1795, his first cousin, Mary Herbert Harrison, daughter of Charles Harrison and Mary Herbert Claiborne. John H. Peterson lived on the original Peterson property on Bailey's Creek, Prince George County. About 1828 he wrote an interesting memoir on the Peterson and Claiborne families..While incorrect, as far as the early generations are concerned, it gives a great deal of information on John Peterson's immediate contemporaries. This manuscript was published in W 2 (2) pp. 1-20. John H. Peterson and Mary H. Harrison had issue [S897]
