Mother: Lucy NICHOLS |
This family is thoroughly covered in Viola Bromley's book THE BROMLEY GENEALOGY. We have a picture of this old couple dated between 1898 (when Owen Thomas Fisher, their son-in-law died, and left his widow alone in the picture) and 1900 when both of the old folks died. This is the picture where a group of teenagers are sitting on a shed roof. The three Fisher boys are in this crowd. Since writing the foregoing, a distant cousin, Mr. Dave Petersen of MIchigan has also found a copy of the picture and he states that it was made on May 12th, 1900 at the 67th wedding anniversary party for Mr. and Mrs. Ami Fuller Bromley.
The death certificate of A. F. Bromley shows the following;
Oceana Co., Eldridge Township, Date of death October 2, 1900. Died at home residence 88 years, 8 months, 12 days, born 1812, New York State, father was WILLIAM BROMLEY, mother SARAH NICHOLS. Place of burial: Eldridge. Cause of death: Diabetis and old age.
