Thurston has Jacob COLE's father as David Cole while SLGT has him as John and Catherine COLE who migrated to Pulaski Co., KY before 1821!
In Thurston's materials I found a copy of an article from the FRANKLIN COUNTY OBSERVER, Washington, Mo., December 31, 1882. It was headed JACOB COLE, --THE LAST OF OUR PIONEERS GONE December 26th, 1882. This article tells some of the history of Jacob Cole (and was great fun to read). [S67] [S550] [S550]
