Thomas Jr also served in the Revolutionary War in a Cavalry Co. of young men which constituted a body-guard for Gen. George Washington and was present at Yorktown at the time of the surrender of Cornwallis. (Encyclopedia of Georgia, Vol. 3) After the war he moved to Georgia and was given a land grant under John Clark as Governor. Lot 86, 250 acres in Walton Co., GA [S952]
