Notes

Tennessee Cousins by Worth S. Ray on page 104 states that John md Sally Ellis, dau of Charles Ellis and had children: Benjamin, Charles, Peter, Elizabeth, Sally, Delilah, and perhaps Polly and Annie.

I have perferred to use Torrence & Allied Families by Robert Torrence instead because he is the most esteemed of the two authors until such time as Mr. Ray's is proven.

Will John Harrison, 1810, Greene Co. TN m. Sarah (Sally) Ellis, Sons: Benj, Charles, Peter; daus. Eliz, Dally, Anny, Delila.

Filed in Jefferson Co. same will, no last name for wife.

Mary Stakias provided the following Bible transcription that we believe is the same family. There are a few additional children not noted by Torrence:

2 - LiB Leftwich Harrison b. 2-11-1812 ( I believe the "LiB" to mean

Littleberry because they did

have a son named Littleberry)

6 - another Joel Leftwich Harrison b. 3-30-1821

Another note indicates the death of an ____ Leftwich Harrison 5-25-1820 (possibly the first Joel Leftwich above)

MY line: Fanny Hopkins Harrison - she married James D. Blackburn who was born in TN but I have no other information on his family - their son, Joel C., born in TN, is my gggrandfather who settled in MS. (My maiden name is Blackburn) ^[S9] ^[S168] ^[S466] ^[S1377]
