1751 Deed Book 5, page 107, Brunswick County: Indenture made 25 September 1751 between Thomas Alstine of Surry County, Ship Carpenter and Thomas Singleton of Brunswick County, L80-8 shillings, 804 acres on south side of Totero Creek and being part of a larger tract formerly granted by letters patent to HENRY HARRISON ESQUIRE, late of Huntington, deceased, and by him in his lifetime conveyed to the said Thomas Alstine as by deed for that purpose in the records of this county may more largely appear. Witnesses were James Stewart, John Dugger and Theo. Burk. Presented in Court on May 27, 1752.
1752 Deed Book 5, page 265, Brunswick County: Indenture made the 19th day of October 1752, between Thomas Alstine of Surry County and James Renn of Surry County, for 60 pounds, conveying 600 acres on South side of Totero Creek patented by HENRY HARRISON ESQUIRE and conveyed to Thomas Alstine. Signed by Thomas Alstine and wife, Mary Alstine. Witnesses were James Renn, Thos. Renn and John Masdin or Wasdin. Presented in Court on October 24, 1752.
1753 Deed Book 5, page 516, Brunswick County: Indenture made the 22nd day of August, 1753, between Charles Stuart of Brunswick County and JAMIN HARRISON of Surry County, for 35 pounds conveying 330 acres on South side of Nottoway River and on the east side of Hick's Branch. Witnesses were James Stuart, Henry Berry, William Stuart, and Elizabeth Carter. Presented in Court on September 25, 1753.
1753 Deed Book 5, page 553, Brunswick County: Indenture made the 3rd day of December, 1753, between BENJAMIN HARRISON of Surry County Planter and Anne his wife and James Roy of Surry County for 30 pounds conveying 252 acre tract purchased from Thomas Alstine. Witnesses were John Verell, JOHN HARRISON, Thos. Eldridge, Gray Brigg, and Ben Welden. Presented in Court on March 26, 1754.
1760 Deed Book 6, page 462, Brunswick County: Indenture made the 28th day of April, 1760, between James Roy and Joseph Denton of Sussex, for 35 pounds, conveying 100 acres, adjoining lands of Col. BENJAMIN HARRISON, WILLIAM RAWLINGS, and WILLIAM HARRISON, and being part of the James Roy Tract. Witnesses were William Dickson, Junr. and WILLIAM HARRISON. Indenture was acknowledged in court on April 28, 1760, by James Roy, and (wife's name not given) his wife, appeared and relinquished her right of dower.
1772, 25 Dec : Between JONES WILLIAMS to BENJAMIN HARRISON, 192 acres, Bedding Fields Creek, Richard Hides line, county line, Williams purchased of William Brewer. Wit: Wm. Randall, James Brewer, Seth Thomson, Isaac Ledbetter.
1782 Harrison to Harrison: This indenture made this second day of December, one thousand seven hundred and eighty two [1782] between WILLIAM HARRISON of the one part and HENRY HARRISON his son of the other part both of the County of Brunswick. witnesseth that the said William Harrison for the consideration of five pounds current money to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth acknowledge and for other good causes and considerations ------ thereunto moving he the said William Harrison hath granted bargained and sold alliened ------ released and conferred and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell allign enfeoff and confirm unto the said Henry Harrison his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract, parcel or piece of land situate in the parish of Saint Andrews and county of Brunswick aforesaid on the North Side of totoro Creek containing by estimation four hundred and sixty acres [460] more or less. Beginning at Henry Harrisons corner white oak thence of north sixty one degrees east eighty two poles to a black jack on Thomas Bozwell's line thence along his line south thirty four degrees east one hundred and fifty poles to his corner white oak thence south sixty three degrees east one hundred and eighty six poles to his corner red oak then south twenty four degrees east one hundred and eighty poles to a white oak on Henry Rawlings line thence along his line west one hundred and sixty poles to a corner white oak on Edward Scarbroughs line thence north twenty degrees west ninety poles to a corner red oak thence south seventy five degrees west one hundred and fifty poles to the creek thence up the creek as it meanders to Henry Harrisons corner thence northeast one hundred twelve poles to a corner on Henry Harrisons line thence along Henry Harrisons line to beginning together with all woods ways fences orchards profits houses advantages whatsoever to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining and all the right title interest benefit, etc., etc. .... ... In witness thereof the said William Harrison hath hereunto interchangeably set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written. Brunswick County court 23 Dec 1782, this indenture was acknowledged in court by William Harrison, a partie thereto to be his act and deed and ordered to be recorded, Drury Stith. 1786, 27 Feb: Probate of Estate in Brunswick Co., Va. (Date of will is 10 Nov, 1785). In his will [Brunswick County Will Book #2 with Inventories & Accounts p. 293], William Harrison gives to children 9 negroes: Abram, Frank, Roger, Sue, Moses, Phill, Tom, Stephen, Sermon; Gives to S-in-law James Marshall 2 negroes, Stephen and Simon; Son Henry Harrison, 2 negroes, Abram and Frank; Son William Harrison, 3 negroes, Roger, Sue and Moses; S-in-law Benjamin Lashley 2 negroes, Phill and Tom. Wit: John Williams, William Shell, Molley Williams.
