Notes
According to the Caldwell Observer, Mary inherited her father's house.
It was unpainted (uncompleted?) when he died and she subsequently did
not allow anyone to enter the house. There was a small fire in 1878
that required citizens to help extinguish. After it was out she
thanked them and asked them to leave.
Died unmarried. She was considered eccentric. She did not allow her house to be finished and refused to let people in to visit her. Even after a minor fire she asked the firemen to leave as soon as the flames were put out. [The Caldwell Observer did not record her death date.]
She was baptized by Abel Jackson.
