Arthur JOHNSON (Sr.) is mentioned several times in SLGT (about Rockingham HARRISONs). He purchased several items in the estate of Isaiah HARRISON 9/1/1748. His home evidently was built by Daniel HARRISON (stonehouse on Cook's Creek deeded to Arthur JOHNSON by Daniel Harrison Gent. see Chalkley, Vol. III p 282). Arthur Sr's Will dated Jan 20, 1759 witnessed by Daniel HARRISON, Samuel Hemphill, Edward Mc. Garry, proved Aug. 15th by HARRISON and HEMPHILL. Widow Margaret qualified as executrix with sureties Daniel LOVE and Robert CRAVENS. Later John and Mary deeded John and Andrew's share of the land to William BOWYER whose son? Henry had married Daniel HARRISON's daughter Mary. Daniel Harrison's Ggranddau m. Judge Eliu JOHNSON.
An Arthur Johnson witnessed the Will of John Piles, Yeoman 15 Jan 1721/22 Sussex Co., DE Heirs Name: wife Sarah Piles; son James Piles; Benjamin Carpenter. Other witnesses: And[re]w White, William Craig. Will Probate Date: 31 Jan 1721/22 : Arch. vol. A93; Reg. of Wills, Liber A Page: 86; folios 216-217. [S67]
