I will probably stir up some controversy here - especially since I cannot
quote the references directly - it has been some years since I did any
research into this Harrison line trying to determine a connection. From what
I can remember the Batteal Harrison (and I think there was actually more than
one) name was part of the Augusta Co VA Harrison line - another name that
family used frequently was "Burr" - there were several Burr Harrisons also.
References I checked years ago indicated no relationship between the Augusta
Co and the James River lines of Harrisons. I do not have titles of books, etc
which I had checked years ago as it was apparent this line did not connect to
my line of Harrisons. If my info on these families is wrong I'd appreciate a
correction - I still have a missing gr-gr-grandfather Harrison.
