In the name of God amen, I Mills Harney of Nicholas County and Commonwealth of Kentucky Knowing it appointed for all men once to die and now being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do make this my Last Will and Testament, and do first Recommend my Soul to God that gave it and as to Real and personal property that God has Blesed me with I do dispose of the same the following manner (to wit)

First I Give and Bequeath to my bloved wife Nancy Exclusive of her thirds the plantation and benefits arrising there from and lands adjacent thereto for & during her natural life time and She is to take care of four youngest children. -

2nd I Give & Bequeath to Roland Harney , Hiram Harney, Rhoda Harney, Thomas Harney & Hannah Harney, & Reily Harney, Samuel Harney, & Selby Harney, & Mills Harney, & Caty Harney, one common Bible to be raised out of My Estate.

3rd and after my Just Debts is paid & the Death of my wife an Equal Division is to take place of all my real & personal Estate among my four youngest Children first being Sold to the best advantage.

4th and my wife is to have and keep in possession all my horses and cows & stock of every kind with the Household furnature plantation utencels & all my personal property during her natural life;

And, lastly I do appoint Nancy Harney, my wife, & William Powell Executors of this my Last Will & Testament revoking all others; Given under my and Seal this 23rd day of March 1814.

An Instrament of writing purporting to be the Last Will & Testament of Mills dec. was produced in open Court & proven by the oath of John Geoghegan, William Powell, & Nancy Ritchey, witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded an on motion of William Powell & Nancy Harney the Executors therein named Who made oath thereto & Together with Robert Ritchey their Security Who entered into Bond in the Penatty? Of $500 Current money conditioned according to Law and ordered to be recorded - and thereupon Certificate is Granted them for obtaining aprobate thereof in due form. Attest, Horace Metcalfe, DBNCB?
