My Lopp's came from Germany to North Carolina to Harrison Co., IN. I'm trying to verify everything in the book "The Lopp's of Harrison Co., IN" by Walter Beanblossom.

UPDATE TO ABOVE:
I have found more information on George LOPP
His name was George Washington LOPP born to James/John LOPP and Louisa KUP in Fountain Co., IN on 27 April 1840.
He was first married to Mary Elma ENNIS on 14 April 1870 in Fountain Co., IN he Divorced her on 9 November 1895 in Danville, Vermilion Co., IL (I have copies of both divorce's and both marriage licenses)
His second wife Mary Ann SHANKS MILLER LOPP divorced him in June of 1909 in Danville, Vermilion Co., IL.
George LOPP had 3 additional children than what I had stated before, found out through his Civil War Pension File. He had a son named Edgar LOPP born between 1880-1890 in IL and a son George LOPP born abt 1891 in IL ( I will assume at this time that they are from his first wife Mary ENNIS) He also had a son named Wesley LOPP with his second wife Mary Ann SHANKS MILLER who was born 8 May 1900 in Perrysville, Vermillion Co., IN.
George LOPP was wounded in the Civil War. He served with C. Company, 63rd Indiana Inf. and was wounded near Resaca, GA. Gunshot wound to his right ankle, and also caught the small pox where he lost the vision of his right eye. Also had problems with piles after a 100 mile 4 day forced march.
He eventually started receiving disability pension for it. In 1912 he was a "member" (patient) at the Danville Soldiers Home in of course Danville, IL.

I have found him in the 1880 Census in Troy, Fountain Co., IN and then again in the 1900 and 1910 census in IL. He died on 24 April 1913 in Perrysville, Vermillion Co., IN and is buried in Hicks Cemetery (according to death certificate).
I would love to know if he had any siblings, and to verify his fathers name. On his death certificate it says JOHN LOPP mother UNK. On his marriage lic. to Mary Ann SHANKS MILLER it says his fathers name was James LOPP and mother was Louisa KUP. I am kind of swayed by that as it was George who gave the info for his marriage license..but then again, you never know. I did find a James LOPP and a Louisa NILES who were married in Fountain Co., IN in 1837 which could be them, if she had been married once before, which I do not know.
Any help would be so appreciated. I am willing to share anything that I have.
