When Daisy Humphries was born, her parents Stephen Alfred Humphries and Daisy Ethel Day were living at 27 Amery Place, Kinglake Street.
Daisy was left in the care of the Westmoreland workhouse until she was adopted by Florence Davey. She raised Daisy as her own and even gave a home to her daughter Peggy when she was born while Daisy was still living with her.
Throughout her married life, Daisy never forgot the kindness shown to her by Florence Davey and always made sure that one of her children took dinner to her every evening at her home in Darwin Buildings in Camberwell, South London.
Daisy died in the Priory Rest Home in Pembury in Kent in 2000.The informat was Susan Linda Wood her daughter and the death was registered on 11th July 2000
