Notes for Mary Ann Adams

Mary Ann Adams was born in North Carolina to William and Mary Goodwin Adams. She married Jonathan Anderson Thrailkill on Nov. 19, 1812 in Tennessee. Jonathan was born Dec 29, 1786 in NC and died Apr. 12, 1843 in Bibb County, AL. After he died Mary and her children moved to MS where the town of Thrailkill in Choctaw County sprung up. The town no longer exists.

Mary A. Thrailkill

There is a registered historical town of Thrailkill, Mississippi. This is where William Caroll ended up, after Jonathan died,
along with other Thrailkills. Of course there is nothing remaining but foundations and it is in thick woods and underbrush.
Also up the road from there, there is a cemetery full of Thrailkills. Here are some of the tombstones:
