William Robert Gibson  was the only son of William Gibson and his second wife Annie McDonald

He was born April, 1, 1884 in Nanaimo B.C.

William died at the age of 45 when William Robert Gibson was 2  years old and his mother Annie died a year later in Savonas Ferry B.C. Her will named Robert McLeese as guardian of William Robert Gibson and his sister Pauline May Gibson. it is not known what happened to Pauline May Gibson.

  I have found Pauline Gibson she was adopted by Sarah Galbraith

Census 1891 living with Sara Galbraith in Yale
She was raised by Sara Galbraith ,Sara was married to John Thompson Galbraith ,he died a year after they took Sara in .

Pauline married James Taylor Nixon Nov. 22 1909 in Portland Oregon

There is a William R. Gibson of the right age (7 years) living in Nanaimo on the 1891 census at the home of George and Margaret McGregor ,listed as an adopted son . I believe this could be my Robert . At the age of 17 on the 1901 census of Nanaimo he is still living with the McGregor family. From 1901 till his death in 1972 (Oct. 18) I have no info on William, from his death certificate he was a logger and he was married at one time and divorced.

The Dept. of Social Services signed his death Certificate he was cremated and his ashes are probably still held at the Vancouver Crematorium , they were unclaimed .

William also had 3 sisters by his father's first marriage to Helen Eliza DeBeck ,they were Olivia Helen Gibson (Proctor), who lived in Ontario for 20 years then Nanaimo B.C.

Mary Leonora Gibson (Calbick) (McIndoo) she lived in Vancouver with her first husband George Calbick they had one daughter Hazel, she remarried in 1911 and lived on Gabriola Island.

Edith Josephine Gibson married Edwin Wright and lived in Olympia Wa. State.
