STATE GUARDIANS FOR GIRLS

 

A bureau organized for the care of female juvenile delinquents by act of June 2, 1893.

The Board consists of seven members, nominated by the Executive and confirmed by the Senate, and who constitute a body politic and corporate. Not more than two of the members may reside in the same Congressional District and of the seven members four must be women.

The term of office is six years.
