ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL
Founded in 1860 by the Sisters of Charity.
Having been destroyed in the fire of 1871 it was rebuilt in the following year. In 1892 it was reconstructed, enlarged and made thoroughly modern in its appointments. It can accommodate about 250 patients.
The Sisters attend to the nursing and conduct the domestic and financial affairs. The medical staff comprises ten physicians and surgeons among whom are some of the most eminent in Chicago.
