| A Tennessean who pioneered to Ohio alone. Found a haven of rest in the cabin of a man named HAIN (probably Leonard) "who lived in the extreme wouthwest corner of what is now known as Clark County. This was in 1796. In the following year he married Hain's daughter Catherine and settled on the land now owned by his son, J.L. STOCKSTILL, in the northeast corner of this township."29 |
