May 2003-June 2003 Fixing bugs and playing around with Rootweb. I am not that fond of how the adds show up on my carefully crafted Hinrich Hahr book web pages. Not sure how to remedy the lousy look. There are probably a lot of broken links due to Rootsweb being case sensitive and frontpage being  a bit more forgiving.
Sept 2002 - April 2003 Have been working to incorporate decendants of Eva Christina Hahr daughter of Hinrich Hahr
Aug 2002 Added more pictures to the Pictures web page

Corrected translation regarding the the Web page containing the Swedish East India company contract.

The brand of tea was prevously translated as "Bouquet", it should have been  "Bohea". Thanks to Jan Erik Nilsson of Sweden for apprising me of the correction.

Added some links  and made some other minor editorial changes.

Went on a trip.  Met with Thomas Lyness son of Meta Charlotte Hahr (Appendix 5, Engl. Ed.), we traded some genealogical information. I tried to meet with Patrick Hahr, son of Kenneth Hahr (Table  11, Engl. Ed) lives near Spring Valley New York.,Did talk to him on the phone though, he mentioned that he had gotten married and has a daughter now and had found out where his father had been buried and that he was going to be moving soon. His parents had divorced when he was very young.  Next went to CT to meet with a high school buddy.  Went to VT met with some more Hahrs:

Edward Paul Hahr (Table 18, Engl. Ed.) and his sons Jimmy, Greg and Joel (the last three are not listed in Table 18 as they were born after the publication of the Engl. Ed.) While in Burlington, VT,  I had visited the Robert Hull Fleming Museum and the University of Vermont. There was a large booklet listing the content of their  collection as part of my admission to the museum.  While browsing the booklet I came across a listing of Bror Thure Thulstrup who had drawn and Ink on Paper  (Skating on Lake Champlain) c. 1900.   This was intriguing as there was a Hahr who a married a Thulstrup in Sweden the same era of this person. Bror was  born in Sweden. After an initial but inconclusive investigation at the UVM library, but I was able to find more sources to check at a later date.

Went through Canada tried to meet with at least one of the Hahr's in Lynden Ontario but there wasn't anybody home - oh well.  Continued on to Ann Arbor MI to meet with my brother Sven and his family. While there I met with Dave Weber, my 4th cousin's son (Charles Weber) and his wife. We traded some genealogical data.  They had mentioned that they had just gotten back from England doing some genealogical research among other things.

Continued on in my trek and met with my 5th cousin Harold Leroy Hahr who also happens to be 1st cousin to the Hahr in Canada I had want to meet.

After I returned, I had gone to a Hahr family reunion in New Jersey on the 17th  Found a treasure trove of pictures of older generations Hahrs. Received some duplicates that Pat Kelleher had with her to the reunion. Will be posting the pictures to the web shortly.

I have been reorganizing my web pages in the expectation of a large influx of pictures.

I noticed that I missed Table 26 (Eng. Ed.) in my genealogy database program. I have now added it along with some geneaolgies I had photocopied when I was in Sweden the last time.

I got an email from Oliver Hahr son of Erik Percy Hahr, my 4th cousin. Apparently he is working in Sau Paulo, Brazil until the end of the year.  His sister is studying in Uppsala, Sweden for another semester. His comment about Hahr's moving all over the world appears to be true.

He asked if there might be any Hahrs in Brazil that he might be able to contact while he is there. After some checking on some photocopied genealogies previously mention, I found that there was indeed a Hahr descendant that might be living in Brazil as of 1978. The last name is Hökerberg. Surprising to say the least.

Celebrated my mother's 82nd birthday on the 31st since  a family friend, Kirsten Andersen, could not make it on Sept. 1st due to a prior commitment. Shortly before the celebration, she provided the document that allowed me to determine that Bror ThureThulstrup was brother-in-law to a Hahr.  This documenaton did not have pictures of Bror himself but did have pictures of his brother and father. I have added these two pictures into into my picture gallery as well as into my genealogy program. The pictures will be posted some time in the future.

July 2002 Almost finished translating the appendix. Will post on web site what has been done to date since there are only a few words and job titles that need to have further research. When these are determined, the appropriate pages will updated.  The new section addition is highlighted in yellow on the main table of Contents. Some months ago Yahoo started a fee of $4.95/mo to be able to use FTP.  I haven't bitten the bullet yet. I will see how slow their slow way is before I do anything else.

Became a member of American-Swedish Historical museum. That had some source material that I was able to find useful.  Their web site is

www.americanswedish.org

May-June 2002 Researching the Haar anscestors from Jördenstorf, Germany found on microfilm. Found some additional info along with some different interpretations. Made photocopies of all images found on microfilm that had any reference to Haar. Will eventually scan them and had them into the genealogy..
Feb-April 2002 Worked intermittently translating the Appendix to:

Hinrich Hahr
en Handelsman från frihetstidens Stockhom
av Gösta Hahr
1966

Waiting for another person to finish translating some job titles and other words.

Jan 2002 Found pictures of Henrik Wilhelm Hahr, the "younger" and his wife, Alfred Hahr and his wife, and cleaner picture of  Anders Hahr. Also found a photocopy of a  document mentioning Anders Hahr. Scanned them into computer and will be loaded onto my yahoo web site sometime later.

Translated two Swedish news articles about Fred C. Hahr.

Added some more people to the genealogy.

Corresponded with a Libyan who is doing some research about a Protestant cemetery in Tripoli, Libya that Adolph Hahr apparently was instrumental in its establishment.

Added revision dates to various pages.

Added pictures taken around Jördenstorf area in 1998

May 2001 Downsized from Visteon Corporation
Evicted from my rented Michigan condo by landlord because he sold the condo and wanted me out by June 24. Had to scramble to make moving arrangements. Plans to visit some Canadian Hahrs put on back burner. Genealogy put on back burner.
June 2001

Relocated back to my unsold (fortunately) house in Middletown, PA.

July - Aug. 2001 Genealogy work on-hold while working on house.
Sept. - Nov. 2001 Rewrote all previously created Hahr genealogy pages in my Website in Microsoft FrontPage 2000.

Converted to the web " The HAHR FAMILY  English translation" pages 66 through 77 (Family Bible)

Made some spelling corrections,  added additional footnotes, eliminated some footnotes by moving  into main body (mostly Godparent data). This was an educated guess on my part.  The only way to be sure is to actually check the Family Bible to see if the Godparents information was actually documented in the Bible.  Would greatly appreciate if any Hahrs in Stockholm could check this out.

Any items enclosed in "[ ]" were added by Lennart A. Hahr  mostly for clarification purposes.

In the Footnote section on the "Family Bible" page, any foot note descriptions that begin with "(  )" and containing number refers to the footnote in the The HAHR FAMILY English edition,  pages 74 through 77.

Nov. 2001 Converted to the web "The HAHR FAMILY  English translation" pages 78 through 80. Made some spelling corrections and some format changes to conform to web limitations.

Added pictures of Graneberg Manor, Kristineberg Castle, Graneberg Manor,  Gryt church, the Hahr Memorial tablet placed in Gryt Church.  Also created links to these pictures in the web pages HahrGen_Fmly-Bible.htm,    HahrGen_Graves.htm,  HahrGen_Intro1.html.

Added additional footnotes and links to  HahrGen_Graves.htm

Added a Pictures Page. Most of these are linked  in pages HahrGen_Fmly-Bible.htm,    HahrGen_Graves.htm,  HahrGen_Intro1.html. Others will be linked in the future.

Added a page HahrGen_Contract.htm showing a Swedish East India Company contract signed by Hahr Ancestor and a presumed Chinese supplier

Gave up on using AOL for web pages because of problems  and lack of support.  For now, I have moved my genealogy to Yahoo.  My site for the genealogy is:

 http://www.geocities.com/lahahr/index.htm

This will be the site until I can find a more "permanent" solution.

Dec 2001 Spent most of the month recovering from a virus in my PC. had to reformat my C Drive twice.  What a bummer. After the Christmas Holidays I met with my 4th cousin, Mary Miller and her husband in New Milford, CT.  Got some more info to add to the genealogy.   She gave me a lead to another 4th cousin Charles Weber. I passed his name onto another 4tth cousin who lived in the same town in North Carolina  She found out that his son appears to be the family historian He happen to live in Toledo, OH where I used to live when I worked for Visteon.
