Hosea Remington May 1819 - aft 1900 Ruth married Hosea Remington after John's death in 1868. Ruth and Hosea had no children. John and Ruth had following children: John L. Jenkins September 09, 1860 - October 23, 1930
Eliza M Fish October 10, 1864 - July 20, 1946 (Jahira Fish + Harriet A Holman) John L. Jenkins was best know as a lumberman. He had one big job near Springhill Pond, another near Dark Bay across Lake George. (From the notes of Clifton West.) He owned and operated a carriage company, which also include the operation of a stage coach line between Hague and Ticonderoga. He owned and operated a local meat market and grocery store. He also held several local elected positions, including Town Superintendent. John and Eliza often enjoyed spending time at Camp John (the hunting lodge). John and Eliza were married June 17, 1880 by the Rev. Albert Clifton in Hague, Warren Co., NY.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1891.
John L. Jenkins has bought out Charles Fish's interest in the stage route between this village and Hague, and will run daily, leaving Hague at 9 a. m., and Ticonderoga at 3 p. m. Charlie has long been a familiar figure on the road and will be missed, but the route could not have fallen into better hands, for John is around attending to business all the time. From the Ticonderoga Sentinel:

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Sturtevant and son Stanley have gone to Hague for the summer; Mr. Sturtevant having leased the John Jenkins' meat market which he opens this week. From the Ticonderoga Sentinel:

All credit is due Town Superintendent John Jenkins for his excellent work on the roads between here and Hague, also on the Horicon roads.
