John De Larm was active his entire life. This article from The Free Press (Gouvernour - news.nnyln.net) is a great example: WEDNESDAY, December 6, 1911 John Delarm, 92 years old, of Malone, is in town visiting his half brother Peter Boscoe, of Starbuck street, West Side, who is suffering with a fractured shoulder. Mr. Delarm is a very active man for his age as is evidenced by the fact that a few days before he left home he butchered two hogs and during the past summer he took entire care of a large garden. Mr. Boscoe is 82 years old and he also is remarkably active aside from a lameness caused from a fractured leg, which he suffered about two years ago by a fall.

Home From the Malone Farmer (http://news.nnyln.net/): Wednesday, October 11, 1911 Sunday there was a remarkable family gathering at the home of John Delarm, Jr. It embraced only his branch of his father's family. Though, four of the great-grandchildren of John Delarm, Sr., were absent, the children of John Delarm, Jr., their husbands, wives and the grandchildren present numbered 40, there were four generations including John Delarm, Sr., who at 92 years, was as young in spirit as any of his descendents. A bountiful dinner and supper were served and a remarkable group picture was taken of all the generations. But this was only one branch of John Delarm Sr.'s family, the descendants of his son John Jr. There are other sons and daughters, their children and children's children to the fifth generation living, including the venerable man himself. Among those present at this gathering from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. P. N. Verdon, of St. Albans, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sharow and four children of East Springfield, Mass. | | De_Larm_Family Website De Larm Family Tree John_De_Larm Richard De Larm William W.
