Guiseppe Nicola D'Alisera was the immigrant ancestor for this branch of the D'Alisera family. Guiseppe and his wife Maria Di'Marzio were born in Salcito, Campobasso, Molise, Italy (as were at least 5 generations of their ancestors). In the earliest records, the surname often appeared as Alisera. The Dalisera variation of the family's name appeared occasionally after Guiseppe and Maria's arrival in the early 1900's. The D'Alisera variation remained the predominate spelling through the 1930's.
Nicholas D'Alisera was one of the first descendents to use Dalisera extensively. Dalisera became the predominate usage by the mid 1900's.
