C. Rhoades, son of Daniel and Fannie Rhoades was born Jan. 26, 1852 at Sigourney,
and passed from this life at his home in Delta on Dec. 19, 1937 at the age
of 85 years 10 months and 23 days.
Mr. Rhoades was united in marriage to Lyda Cullinson at Montezuma, Oct 13, 1879. To this union five children were born, one dying in infancy. He spent practically all his life in Keokuk County and the major part of it in the Delta community.
He united with the Methodist Episcopal Church forty years ago and has been a member of the Church ever since.
He is survived by his wife, Lyda one son, Aaron Rhoades of Delta; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Miller and Mrs. Howard Carter of Chicago and Mrs. Roy Connelly of Des Moines, also ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren besides a large number of other relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist Church charge of the pastor, Rev. E. L. McClure. Interment was made in
