Taken in Mulgrave about 1939-40.
The woman is Nita Provost McKinnon and the soldier is unknown.
He often came to Mulgrave with Percy Lumsden and George Myers so he may be from Cooks Cove.

The man Jim Hanlon believed to be from Canso.
The woman with him is his wife.
If anyone knows who she is, please

lived in Cole Harbour and lived in "the white house
with green trim",
which used to have the harbour light in the upstairs window,
and which was located beside the Dorts.
William Myers Munroe was married to several different women,
but two were half sisters and they were Uloths.
She is not positive they are Cole Harbour folks,
but if they are they would be related to the Munroe and/or Uloth family.
One picture is William Munroe
but she does not know his girlfriends name. William was her great uncle
and he drowned before he ever married.

The picture is of Burpee Nichols & wife, Aspen, Nova Scotia.
His granddaughter Nan is not sure whether
the wife in the picture is Kate MacKeen Kirk or his later wife Anne MacGregor.

The two photos were taken in 1947
after his father came back from the war
and he was in Guysborough County visiting family.
The second photo has a lady on the right side
which is Hugh's mother but the other two are unknown.

The person on the right is his second wife, Elsie Mae Cresine.
Who are the people in the middle? The photo was taken in the 1960's.
Margaret (Cummings) Jackman and Margaret's husband, Hugh Jackman and Elsie Cresine.
James and Margaret's mother was Annie Elizabeth "Bess" Cresine
and was a sister to John Gordon Cresine. He was known all his life as "Gordon".
