) was born 3, 4, 5 on 10 Nov 1899 in Fay, Freestone, TX. She died on 19 Nov 1958 in Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX. She was buried in Crestview Memorial Park, Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX.
Callie was employed as Artist and Music Teacher in Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX.
One of the family's favorite memories is of her teaching her parakeet to say, "Poooor Dave.....He's siiiiiiickkkkkk!".
~Her second husband, Dave Decker, tended to be a hypochondriac and it would make him so mad when the parakeet would say this.
The family photos of her seem to always show her smiling large and having a really good time. Her nieces, Helen and Louise, remember how when she played a rolicking tune on the piano, the piano would bounce up and down on the floor.
She was a self taught decorative artist, specializing in hand painted ceramics and china.

Bonnie married (1) Ishmael Lavergne LAND "Ish" 1, 2, 3 son of John M. LAND and Maude Pearl PUGH about 1929 in Mansfield, Tarrant, TX. The marriage ended in divorce. They were divorced in 1930.
Ishmael was born on 28 Feb 1908 in Denton Co, TX. He died on 2 Nov 1991 in Pasadena, Harris, TX.
They had the following children:
Bonnie married (2) Sandy Iddo FISHER [image] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 son of Merida Eugene FISHER and Mary Elizabeth WALTERS on 8 Jul 1933 in Dallas, Dallas, TX. Sandy was born 8, 9, 10 on 22 Dec 1906 in Franklinton, Washington Parish, LA. He died on 28 Oct 1959 in Palestine, Anderson, TX. He was buried in Holly Springs Cemetery, Montalba, Anderson, TX.
Sandy was employed as Fireman in Houston, Harris, TX. He joined religion Baptist. He was employed as Lone Star Gas pipeline in Sep 1930 in Dallas, Dallas, TX. He was employed as Upholsterer in Sep 1950 in Palestine, Anderson, TX.
Sandy was the fourth of five surviving children. With his red hair and freckled complexion, he was the mischevious one of the bunch with a fiery temper and easy grin. He was also a very sentimental man who took the death of his mother very hard. His Christian faith was one he lived day in and day out and one he and Bonnie passed on to their children.
Not much is known about his early childhood in Louisiana. His family moved to Texas from Louisiana between 1912 and 1920. They had first lived in the Starville area of Smith County and later moved to the Bois D'Arc area of Anderson County where Sandy helped his father farm. He made fast friends that the Denman brothers in that area and Sandy used to tell his daughters about some of their adventures. By the late 1920s, he, his little brother Levie and their parents had moved to Dallas where Sandy went to work for the Lone Star Gas Company. This was where he was working when he met and married Bonnie. After the birth of their first child, Helen Marie, Sandy's mother and adopted brother, James Billy Fisher, moved in with them. The whole family moved back to Anderson County where Sandy tried farming again. However, this was during the Depression, and one year all the crops except the sweet potatoes failed and that's what they had to live on for several months. His daughter, Louise, recounts that it was many years before he could stand to look another sweet potato.
By 1942, they were living in Houston where Sandy was working as a fireman with the Houston Fire Department. He also worked as an automobile mechanic. It was in Houston in 1943 that their second child, Anna Louise, was born.
By early 1946, Sandy health (never that robust) began to decline. They packed up their black 1968 Dodge and moved back to East Texas. At various times, they lived in the Bois A'Arc, Lone Pine and Montalba communities in northern Anderson County. Sandy worked as an upholsterer and an automobile mechanic.
In early 1953, Sandy had his first heart attack. The doctors said that he would probably not live more than six months. He lived over six years but was never well enough to hold a job after that. It must have been hard for him to know that his wife, Bonnie, was the bread winner of the family. He did try to stay as busy as his failing body would let him - farming a small truck garden and learning marquetry and parquet techniques to apply to tables and chests.
HEALTH: Was disabled for the last 7 years of his life due to heart attacks and strokes.
RELIGION: Baptist

Bonnie married (3) Lewis Eugene FISHER [image] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 son of Merida Eugene FISHER and Mary Elizabeth WALTERS on 23 Dec 1960 in Dallas, Dallas, TX. Lewis was born 9, 10, 11 on 28 Jul 1904 in Franklinton, Washington Parish, LA. He died 12, 13, 14 on 26 Aug 1977 in Palestine, Anderson, TX. He was buried 15 in Holly Springs Cemetery, Montalba, Anderson, TX.
Lewis joined religion Baptist - Elder. He was employed as Lone Star Gas Co in Dallas, Dallas, TX.
Note by Gwen Goff Hobbs:
A wonderful, good natured man who I knew as my grandfather. (He and Bonnie married in December after I was born.) He created new iris hybrids as a hobby as well as other gardening and he enjoyed travel and photography. He was a church elder and known for his frequent "Amen"s in church (it used to embarass me so much when I was little). He lived the life of a good Christian man day in and day out.
On August 26, 1977, he was digging a field line in the cool of the morning. He went in for lunch and then for his usual nap. He started feeling sick and called Bonnie who took him to the hospital. He had suffered a mild heart attack. That evening, he suffered another massive heart attack and died. The preacher at his funeral stated, "What a way to go. Working in his garden in the morning and with the Lord that evening." If he could have planned his departure from this earth, I believe that this would have been the way he chose.
