3. John Jackson MOORE Jr 1, 2 (John Jackson ) was born 3, 4 about 1781 in Orange Co, NC. He died in Jefferson Co, AR (probably).

He and Farmer witnessed the will of Gabriel Washburn, whose wife Percilla testified on their father's behalf in his Revolutionary War Pension Application.

According to some Rutherford County Moore researchers, John's land was on the west side of Brushy Creek. There is a deed dated 1807 for 100 acres.

Mary is listed as John's daughter on a deed in Rutherford County.

BIRTH: Virginia Fowler puts his birth date as 1793 but marriage records show that he married Martha "Mattie" Patterson in 1803. Descendants aver that this is correct so we are not sure what his birth year is.

BIRTH: There's a note that was left in the family bible of his daughter Anna Moore Wheeler - "Richard G. Moore was Born in Randolph County, North Carolina in the year of 1782 and Removed to Rutherford County in the same state and Profest Religeon about the age of 26 years and lived in the M. E. church until his death which was in October 1863 aged about 82 yers..."


RESIDENCE: According to Joseph Parker Titus, ggg grandson of Richard's brother, Jonathan, Richard and Jonathan and another brother, Francis, left Rutherford County and went to Overton Co, TN where Richard stayed. Jonathan and Francis went on to Livingston Co, IL to raise their families.
