Before me the undersigned personally came and appeared George W. Varnado and W. M. McLain who, each, after being duly sworn according to law, says:
That they were well and personally acquainted with the late DAVID A. VARNADO and know that he is now dead, having died March 24, 1963, and know that he was domiciles in Washington Parish, Louisiana; and know that he was married twice, first to Lena McLain, who died in 1898, and second to Lula Ginn, who died December 14, 1935; and know there were two children born of the first marriage with one child dying at birth and other being Olen O. Varnado, who is the only child of the said decedent and the sole and only heir; and who further knows that there were no children born of the second marriage and the decendent never adopted anyone, nor was he ever adopted by anyone.
Affiants further state that they consider the valuation of the property to be a fair one.

Mrs. D. A. Varnado Passes
Mrs. Lula Ginn Varnado, wife of D. A. Varnado local merchant and business man, passed away at the family residence in South Franklinton at 1:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14, after about two hours illness - death being due to a heart attack.
Mrs. Varnado, was born and reared near Tylertown, Mississippi and was married 20 years ago to Mr. Varnado and since that time her residence has been in Franklinton, where she had many friends and loved ones.
She was a Christian woman, being a member of the local Baptist church. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence, Rev. J. H. Smith conducted the funeral, assisted by Rev. C. E. McLean and Rev. F. N. Sweeney. Interment was in Ellis Cemetery.
Besides her husband and one step-son, O. O. Varnado, she was survived by two sisters, Mesdames Allen and Spinks of Franklinton and four brothers and three sisters of South Mississippi.
Many relatives and friends from out-of-town attended the funeral Sunday afternoon.

OBITUARY: On last Sunday at 2:30 pm, the Death Angel came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Varnado and took from them a beautiful little flower, - Sweet little Wilda- after an illness of only two days. Little Wilda was nine months, five days of age. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.F. Corkern; the precious little body was laid in the Enon cemetery. May the sunshine of God's love enter the hearts of the bereaved and have them so live that they will meet their dear Little Wilda in the Sweet Beyond. Little Wilda was as a gentle ray of light that flitted like a beam of sunshine. No one can fill her place. 'Tis sad to think the tiny little bud was plucked before the flower bloomed; but it was only budding here to open in that Sweet Beyond. Wilda! Oh! the word; It pierces the heart and creates anew The loving affections one is due; It first brings pleasure, then gives pain To think she could no longer remain; It calls up thoughts of the moldering past, Of happy moments that could not last, Of the precious bud that could not stay, But was so suddenly plucked away! Where has she gone? Ah1 Did you say To that bright land of Celestial Day? Yes, no longer here on earth to roam, She sought her place in a Heavenly Home; That Home, Sweet Home, of peace and rest, Where all the faithful shall be blest; Where we shall sing His glorious praise Throughout Eternity's endless days.
