Burris, who preceeded her in death a little more than 7 years ago. Three of her children died in recent years, a daughter, Mrs. Ollie Burris Bradley in Ga., and 2 sons, Ralph and Harvey Burris. She is survived now by 2 daughters and 2 sons, Mrs. P.E. She was a member of Noble Queen Chapter Number 45 of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the United Methodist Women's Organization, a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Parish Chapter of the Red Cross, a retired National Secretary of Medical Work of the United Methodist Church Board of Missions, and a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, Add Burris of Franklinton; two sisters, Miss Flora Burris and Mrs. Griffith (Bobbie) Johnson, both of Franklinton; and several nephews and nieces. The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11th, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Robert Galatas and the Rev. James T. Harris officiating. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were her nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Centenary United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to a preferred charity.
