Rebecca Michelle Watson, 20 Jefferson City, died April 13, 2003, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Feb. 24, 1983, in Jefferson City, a daughter of David F. and Vicki L. Gilpin Watson. Her father survives in Bolivar. Her mother and stepfather, Vicki and Danny Landers survive in Holts Summit.
She was a 2001 graduate of Jefferson City High School and worked for Factual Data Missouri in office administration.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Katlyn Paige Staehle, of the home; paternal grandmother, Louise S. Watson, Bolivar; step grandparents, Art and Clara Mae Landers, Jefferson City; and her fiancé, Rodney Staehle, of the home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City. The Rev. Joseph Skiles will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the Katlyn Staehle Educational Fund, in care of Central Bank, Holts Summit.

DEATH: Tuesday, April 15, 2003Man charged after crash kills county woman

A 25-year-old Jefferson City man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly causing a wreck that killed a Cole County woman.
Cecil J. Kamara reportedly was intoxicated and driving north in a southbound lane of traffic in the 1800 block of Southwest Boulevard when the accident occurred.
Rebecca Watson, 20, was killed in the accident, which reportedly happened at 12:11 a.m. Sunday.
Jefferson City police said Kamara's vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Cole County resident Rodney Staehle, 21.
Watson was a passenger in Staehle's vehicle.
Staehle was treated for his injuries and released from Capital Region Medical Center.
A passenger in Kamara's vehicle, Amber Rodriguez, 18, sustained mild injuries.
Kamara and Rodriguez both were treated and released from St. Marys Health Center.
Police Sgt. Doug Shoemaker said the accident investigation is ongoing. At this point, police have not determined how fast the vehicles were traveling when they hit, he said.
He did say officers were at the scene from just after midnight until about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The area was blocked off to traffic during that time, he added.
Kamara was being held on a $100,000 bond in the Cole County Jail late this morning.
Involuntary manslaughter is a class C felony punishable by up to a seven-year prison term.
