CHESTER GOFF
Chester Goff, 75, Jefferson City, formerly of Kansas City, died Aug. 31, 1991, at a hospital in Jefferson City.
He was born in Jefferson City and lived in Kansas City from 1966 until he returned to Jefferson City in June 1990. Mr. Goff worked for the H.D. Lee Co. Inc. from 1966 until he retired in 1981. He was a consultant to the company until 1985. He also worked for the Oberman Manufacturing Co. and the Missouri State Highway Department and owned Becker's Market in Jefferson City. He was a Methodist. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Mary Becker Goff of the home; a daughter, Nancy Jean Wilson, Jefferson City; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. today at Riverview Cemetery, Jefferson City. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or any charity.

clothing for years setting up equip. Mildred was a wonderful woman . Very friendly. Chester had been in Army in WW2 and came to our house in St Louis so did his brother Mahlon.
I have Uncle Orbrys mantle clock here now. I brought it at Aunt Clara s sale the boys had after she died. I gave it to my daughter as she loved it. "

Mildred Mary "Mim" Goff, 84, Jefferson City, died June 3, 2002, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center.
She was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Steedman, a daughter of A.T. and Stella F. Quick Becker. She was married March 27, 1949, in Jefferson City, to Chester W. Goff, who died Aug. 31, 1991.
She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. She and her husband owned and operated Becker's Market for a number of years before moving to Kansas City in 1966. She moved back to Jefferson City in 1990. She was a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church in Raytown.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Wilson, Jefferson City, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.

Earl H. Hirschvogel, Sr. 84, California, MO died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO.
He was born August 28, 1918, in Cole County, MO the son of August and Christine Schubert Hirschvogel, who preceded him in death. He was married Sept. 11, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to Josephine Adelaide Antoinette Goff, who preceded him in death, Nov. 17, 1998.
He retired in 1980 from the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he worked in maintenance at the Centertown Highway Shed for 26 years. He had also previously worked as a mechanic for Riley Chevrolet and a roofer for independent contractors. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church in St. Martins. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a life member of V. F. W. Post 35 in Jefferson City, MO.
Survivors include: one son, Earl H. "Bud" Hirschvogel, Jr. with his wife, Susan of California, MO; two daughters, Linda Reichel with her husband, Johnny of McGirk, MO and Donna Milligan with her husband, Russell of California, MO; eight grandchildren, Dean & Gary Reichel, Julie Schlup, E.H., Jeffrey and Robert Hirschvogel, Kristin and Ryan Milligan and a step granddaughter, Amanda Henley; two great grandchildren, Cole and Camryn Schlup and two step-great grandchildren, Dane and Dylann Henley.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Hirschvogel and two sisters, Alene Eggers and Olivia Linhardt.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, August 5, 2003 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO with a Prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at St. Martins Catholic Church in St. Martins. Rev. Father Eddie Schmidt will officiate and burial will be in the St. Martins Catholic Cemetery with Military graveside honors.

Darlene L. Goff, age 68 years of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, died Sunday, August 31, 2003, at her home.
She was born October 29, 1934, in Tomah, WI, to Frank and Minnie Hopinkah Lewis.
On April 10, 1955, Darlene married William Goff, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Following her marriage, the couple lived in various places: including Fayetteville, Germany, Turkey, and El Paso, Texas.
Other survivors include one son: William Goff of Jamestown, MO; four daughters: Celeste Goff of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Murrie Gensler of Jefferson City, MO, Mary Roddy of Garland, Texas and Karen Goff of California, MO; one brother: Walter Lewis of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Darlene was preceded in death by a grandson, her twin sister: Marlene, and five other sisters: Mathilda, Bertha, Fran, Jeanette, and Geneva, and by five brothers: George, Edwin, Fred, John and Curtis.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2003, from the Darlene Goff residence, rural Black River Falls, Wisconsin, with the Reverend Roger Wentz officiating. Interment was at the Ho-Chunk United Church of Christ Cemetery, rural Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

The former Darlene Lewis was born on October 29, 1934 in Tomah to Frank and Minnie (Hopinkah) Lewis. She was raised in the Black River Falls area and attended local schools. On April 10, 1955, Darlene married William Goff in Fayetteville, NC. Following their marriage, the couple lived in various places including Fayetteville, Germany, Turkey, and El Paso, TX. Darlene and William later separated and then became divorced. Darlene had also lived in Merrillan before returning to Black River Falls. Darlene enjoyed word puzzles and picture puzzles and reading. Survivors include a son, William (Pam) Goff, of Jamestown, MO; 4 daughters, Celeste Goff, of Black River Falls, Murrie Gensler, of Jefferson City, MO, Mary (Mike) Roddy, of Garland, TX, and Karen Goff, of California, MO; 9 grandchildren; a great grandson; a brother, Walter (Marie) Lewis, of Black River Falls; a sister, Lorena Coffey, of Black River Falls; and numerous other relatives. Henry J. Staehle, 81, Brookfield, died Feb. 5, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born June 27, 1920, in St. Charles, a son of Henry J. and Bertha Sichelstiel Staehle. He was married Dec. 3, 1950, in Piggot, Ark., to Lois Goff, who survives at the home.
He was a mechanic for Fabick Caterpillar, Jefferson City, and owned and operated a service station in Mike until his retirement in 1978.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was Catholic.
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Staehle, Nowata, Okla., and Alan Staehle, Jefferson City; two daughters, Anita Battle, Jefferson City, and Lori Melte, Brookfield; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
One son, Ralph Joseph Staehle, died in 1973 and one granddaughter died in 1978.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, St. Martins. The Rev. Edwin Schmidt will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Martin's Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

He attended California High School. He worked for Cargill, Inc., in maintenance for the last nine years.
He formerly worked for the Standard Station and Todd-Hogge Ford as a mechanic.
He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church.
Survivors include: two sons, William M. Ponder and Derek R. Ponder, both of California; one daughter, Nicole M. Ponder, Centertown; one brother, Virgil Brizendine, California; one sister, Belenda Buchanan, Holts Summit; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martins Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
