Adeline B. Goff, 86, Clovis, Calif., formerly of Jefferson City, died Sept. 6, 2002, at Community Living Center, Fresno, Calif.
She was born May 22, 1916, in Spring Garden, a daughter of Oscar and Burie Henley Blackburn. She was married in 1935, in Jefferson City, to William Cardwell, who preceded her in death. She was married Sept. 29, 1947, in St. Louis, to Mahlon P. Goff, who died Sept. 29, 1986.
She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was a homemaker and worked for J.C. Penny's Store for 40 years until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Bob L. Cardwell, Clovis, Calif., and one grandson.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Jerrol L. Boehmer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Buescher Memorial Home.

Bob Daly states that William and Emma lived out in the country in Boone County, northeast of Columbia. They lived out on the old J. R. Daly Farm that William's father owned. The farm was annexed by the City of Columbia in the mid 1970s and there's a residential area there now. They moved into Columbia in 1943. The children attended the Zaring School until that time.

BIOGRAPHY: I knew Rex White... This was back in the 50s. He worked at Riley Chev garage and early in morning he would go to radio station KWOS and do the weather. Johnny Muessig was the announcer. There also a country music singer and he did early morning wake up show and him and Rex had a great sense of humor they put on good show. This was in Jeff City and I worked at Newberry's dime store and Earl Hirschvogel worked at Riley's. I usually rode to work with Earl and so got to see Rex alot. He had a little speech problem and some of words didn't come out right which made it more funny as him and Johnny put on a show. They were both great people {some of the people that leave a spot on your heart and mind that you dont forget them for the good they do}John never met a stranger and never had a harsh word. Margaret Marie Goff, 80, Jefferson City, died April 21, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 5, 1919, in Cedar City, a daughter of He-nry and Bertha Gilmore Steinmetz. She was married June 6, 1936, in Linn, to Earl D. Goff, who died Nov. 8, 1982.
A member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Holts Summit, she worked at Tweedies Footwear Corp. and the state Office of Administration Division of Design and Construction.
Survivors include: one son, Ronald Earl Goff, New Bloomfield; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Charles R. Crum will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
