Both of these listings and the fact that there were only three boys in the Washington Jackson Goff family, lead me to believe that Arthur L. Goff is the son of William Rufus. I considered that he might have been an illegitimate of one of the girls but, in checking their marriage dates, that isn't possible for any of them except Martha E. Goff who married John Caldwell. However, given the mores of the times, this scenario seems unlikely. So, process of elimination leads me to William Rufus Goff as Arthur's father.
