In 1872, he moved to New London, CT and worked for Russell Burrows , a contractor and builder and moved to Tolland in 1874 where he helped his brother run his store.

East Hampton, jUne 3 - The funeral of Orrin Goff was largely attended from his late home Saturday afternoon. Mr. Goff was sick from the 21st day of lat December, and until the time of his death, was confined to the house, spending the greater part of the time in a chair.
