The Descendants
of
Willis Hansford Folkes
of
Jones County, Mississippi

I am including a small genealogy of the descendants of Willis Hansford Folkes even though it's a collateral line for me because of my Fisher/Walters Family research. Willis' daughter Emily married my great grand uncle, William Newton Fisher, and her brothers Warren Isaac Folkes and George Henry Folkes married two of my great grand Walters aunts, Martha Alma "Alma" Walters and Adella Cordelia "Della" Walters respectively. Willis and Callie seem to have migrated to Washington Parish, Louisiana from Jones County, Mississippi about the same time as my Walters family. It seems that Folkes left with the Fishers and Walters who came to Texas in the 1910s. I hope this small genealogy helps some of the Folkes researchers out there. Any new information is always appreciated.
